Product Manager
Product Manager
- Remote (US or India)
- Full Time
- Competitive
We're seeking a hands-on Product Manager to own end-to-end product delivery for one of our behavioral health EHR modules. This role combines strategic product ownership with detailed requirements analysis and team delivery management. You'll define the roadmap, write detailed specifications, and drive daily execution with developers and QA. This isn't a high-level strategy-only role - you'll interview users, document complex healthcare workflows, run daily standups, and ensure your team ships on time. We need someone who can seamlessly switch between presenting quarterly goals to executives, mapping billing requirements with users, and pushing developers for code completion. Perfect for PMs who thrive on full ownership - from strategy through requirements to delivery - and understand that in complex healthcare software, the PM must be both the domain expert and delivery driver.
Responsibilities:
- Own product roadmap and prioritization decisions for your module
- Conduct user interviews to understand healthcare workflows and pain points
- Write detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Run daily standups and drive team toward sprint commitments
- Define and track success metrics and KPIs for your module
- Document complex billing rules, clinical workflows, and edge cases
- Coordinate between developers, QA, and technical lead to ensure alignment
- Create wireframes and mockups to communicate feature designs
- Make scope and trade-off decisions when timelines are at risk
- Answer developer questions and clarify requirements throughout the day
- Track sprint progress and escalate blockers before they become critical
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate delivery timelines
- Map complex processes like insurance verification and claims processing
- Review implemented features against specifications before release
- Ensure smooth handoffs between development and QA teams
- Present product updates to leadership and customers
- Define business rules, validation logic, and system behaviors
- Remove blockers and shield team from distractions
- Maintain comprehensive requirements documentation
- Drive go-to-market planning and customer communication for new features
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years as Product Manager or Business Analyst (or combination)
- Experience writing detailed technical requirements and user stories
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver on time
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving
- Excellent written documentation and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with healthcare software or complex business domains
- Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Ability to understand technical constraints and push back when needed
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented while maintaining strategic perspective
- Comfortable with hands-on requirements gathering and team management
Will be a plus:
- Healthcare industry experience, especially EHR or medical billing systems
- Knowledge of US healthcare billing, insurance, claims processing
- Understanding of behavioral health workflows and regulations
- Experience managing offshore development teams
- SQL knowledge for data analysis and validation
- Agile/Scrum certification or extensive practice
- Clinical or medical billing operational background
- HIPAA and healthcare compliance knowledge
- UI/UX design skills for creating mockups
- Technical background to better communicate with developers
- Experience with both product strategy and project management
We offer:
- Competitive compensation package
- Remote work with flexible schedule
- Full ownership of entire product module
- Direct impact on healthcare delivery
- PTO and flexible time off
- Professional development budget
- Performance-based bonuses
- Collaborative team environment
- Opportunity to become healthcare domain expert
- Clear growth path to Senior PM or Director roles
