We're seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to ensure quality across our behavioral health EHR platform. This hands-on role requires deep testing expertise to handle complex healthcare scenarios including insurance billing, claims processing, clinical workflows, and regulatory compliance. You'll design comprehensive test strategies, mentor junior QA engineers, and tackle our most challenging testing problems. We need someone who can test intricate billing rules, multi-step clinical workflows, and integration points with insurance systems. Responsibilities:

Design and execute complex test scenarios for healthcare workflows
Test intricate billing rules including fee schedules, modifiers, and insurance requirements
Validate claims processing, ERA posting, and eligibility verification
Create comprehensive test plans for new features and modules
Identify edge cases in multi-step workflows spanning multiple modules
Mentor junior QA engineers and review their test cases
Perform API testing, database validation, and integration testing
Lead testing efforts for major releases and critical features
Collaborate with developers to improve testability of applications
Analyze production issues and improve test coverage
Participate in requirements reviews to identify testing challenges early
Maintain and improve existing test suites and documentation
Coordinate testing efforts across US and India teams

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of QA/testing experience with complex applications
Strong manual testing skills with attention to detail
Experience with test planning and test case design
SQL proficiency for backend data validation
Experience testing web applications across browsers
API testing experience using Postman or similar tools
Understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills for working with distributed teams

Will be a plus:

Healthcare industry experience, especially EHR or billing systems
Knowledge of US insurance, claims, and medical billing processes
Experience with behavioral health or mental health systems
Test automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
Performance testing and security testing knowledge
HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations understanding
Experience leading or mentoring QA team members
ISTQB or other QA certifications
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools
Basic scripting skills (Python, JavaScript)
